2025 ASPIRE Open House

The ASPIRE community gathered for the annual Open House on Monday, November 10, 2025 in the PAÍS lobby. Students, faculty, and partners came together for an afternoon of research, conversation, and celebration. Eight graduate students presented posters spanning hydrology, climate modeling, geomorphology, geophysics, and environmental design.

This year’s poster competition winners were:
1st Place – Lindsey Rotche: Fires, Thinning, and Snow: The Influence of Forest Structure on Snowpack for Water Resources in the Southwest
2nd Place – Miles Kelsey: Hydrologic Drivers of Soil Carbon Cycling in Semi-Arid Floodplains
3rd Place – Adrian Marziliano: A Collaborative Human-Centered Design Approach Towards New NASA Products for Satellite Snow Monitoring

Other featured presenters included Jove Kohl, Miranda Noonan, Md Zayed Abdur Razzak, Cameron Chavez Reed, and Sarah Rysanek, showcasing the breadth of ongoing work across the ASPIRE community.

Attendees also connected with partner organizations—AGGS, BEMP, EDAC, INTERA, Sandia National Laboratories, and SAGES—while enjoying refreshments from Sahara, door prizes, and the unveiling of the 2026 ASPIRE calendar.

The event was a lively celebration of student innovation and collaboration across disciplines.
