Giving
This year ASPIRE is participating in a crowdfuning campaign. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to serve our community of graduate and undergraduate students
Your contribution to the ASPIRE Fund will support impactful research and professional development programs for undergraduate and graduate students in the geospatial, Earth, and environmental domains:
$5 supports snacks available to students in the shared ASPIRE laboratory space to fuel their research progress
$50 supports a student poster presentation to share their research in a professional meeting
$100 supports a participant in the LAUNCH (Learning about the unwritten norms for careers in higher education) Workshop – a two-day workshop to explore the hidden curriculum of applying for faculty positions, understanding the diversity of faculty positions and institution types, and considering non-academic tracks with a PhD in Earth, environmental, and geospatial sciences (and related fields).
$1,000 supports one undergraduate student to participate in ESCAPE, a one-week long summer research program where students learn about Earth science data analysis, python programming and data visualization, and careers.
$2,000 supports one undergraduate research fellowship for a semester, providing them with an opportunity to conduct research with an ASPIRE faculty and gain valuable skills and research experience to prepare them for future career opportunities and graduate studies
$3,000 supports a graduate student for a month in the summer to conduct ASPIRE-related research as an ASPIRE Graduate Research Fellow
